It was first unveiled in March 2021 and is expected to go on sale in select markets in 2021.

The EV6 is based on the E-GMP platform developed by Kia's parent company Hyundai, which also underpins the Hyundai Ioniq 5. It features a sleek, futuristic design with a sloping roofline and a distinctive front grille that incorporates LED lighting.

The EV6 is offered in several different configurations, including rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and with either a 58 kWh or 77.4 kWh battery pack. The top-of-the-line GT model is expected to have a range of over 250 miles on a single charge and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of less than 3.5 seconds.

In addition to its performance capabilities, the EV6 also features a number of advanced technology and safety features, including a high-resolution infotainment system, a 360-degree camera system, and a suite of driver assistance technologies such as adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist.
